The Peer Assisted Learning Program is an academic support program that connects undergraduate students with trained undergraduate and graduate Peer Academic Leaders (PALs). Utilizing leadership and coaching strategies, PALs partner with students to provide guidance and support that empowers students to take ownership of their academic journey. PALs help students take actionable steps to reach their full potential at UÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½.Ìý
Benefits of PAL Coaching
- Peer-to-Peer Support. PALs are students just like you. They are taking classes, balancing personal and academic responsibilities and facing challenges, so they understand what you are going through and want to help you navigate it.
- Build Confidence and Academic Independence. With the support of a PAL, you will learn strategies and skills to prepare you to tackle academic tasks with skill and confidence.Ìý
- Learn skills to succeed. PALs can help students learn study and notetaking strategies, how to manage time and academic expectations, when to utilize campus resources and much more.Ìý
